Sean and Katharine were fabulous housesitters and I commend their services without hesitation. They looked after our 16th century home, two dogs, chickens and gecko for eight days. We have had many housesitters before but none as professional as Sean and Katharine. They were here in the 35-degree heatwave and took extra care of the house and pets, going that extra mile to make sure that the dogs in particular were comfortable. They are both very clearly animal lovers and took care of our pets as if they were their own and I would be beyond happy to book their services again. When we returned, the house was immaculate with all of their bedding and towels washed, dried and folded, with a welcome surprise of fresh bread, milk and bacon which was hugely appreciated.

Pepper the Black Labrador & Ariel the Roborovski Hamster

Wow, professional would be an understatement! From the outset Sean and Katharine took great care to understand the pets, the house, the routine, everything that's important to us. They arrived the day Pepper, the dog, had just returned from the vet after being quite ill, and they nursed her back to health in no time at all, with plenty of care, attention, love and playtime, not to mention fabulous walks. And to top it all Sean and Katharine left my house looking immaculate, heaven to come home to. Huge thank yous to them both from all of our family. Sean & Katharine were brilliant! They coped with everything extremely well, even a poorly cockerel, and the dogs loved them. Our very shy little cat decided they could be trusted too! The house was immaculate when we returned, certainly cleaner than we left it and we felt very confident whilst we were away as they kept lightly in touch with us which was perfect. How do I express my gratitude to you both for the wonderful care you took of my darling Sophie and dearest cats and indeed of the house too? The fact that you tackled Sophie’s dandruff is testament to that — there’s not one flake of dandruff on her black coat anymore. Also, thank you for allowing Sophie to share your bedroom at night. I am so happy Sean and Katharine were able to come and look after our three dogs, house and chickens. I knew as soon as they arrived I wouldn’t have to worry about a thing, and that most importantly my most treasured old Basil would be well cared for. They are very organised and responsible and kept in touch with us while we were away, sending photographs of the dogs, too. The house was spotless when we got home. Tabitha the Calico Cat

I have absolutely no doubt in recommending Sean and Katharine as they are a very friendly and warm couple, who take the responsibility of moving into another person’s home, whether just housesitting or caring for the owner’s beloved pets as well. Our cat Tabitha can be a very nervous cat and usually runs away and hides when strangers come to the house, but she made friends with Sean and Katharine instantly, even cuddling up in bed at night as she does with us every day. I hope we are lucky enough to find that they are available and would like to cat and housesit for us in the near future.

Sean and Katharine were simply amazing. They obviously love all animals and immediately our two retrievers bonded with them. Lovely, interesting couple and we were put at ease straight away, as we sensed their experience, common sense, maturity and trustworthiness as housesitters. They stayed for two weeks and we felt completely relaxed whilst we were away, knowing the house and our dogs were being very well looked after. Sean and Katharine were perfect house sitters. As soon as we met Sean and Katharine, we felt totally at ease and knew we had made the right choice. They are a warm and friendly couple who immediately fussed over the dogs. They were with us for 24 hours before we left for our holiday getting to know the dogs and the house and in that time we could see that both would be incredibly well looked after. They emailed us with updates throughout our holiday so we knew all was well at home. On our return, the house was immaculate and the dogs were totally in love! We had a very long journey home and were all extremely tired — Sean and Katharine very kindly took care of the dogs on the day of our return — giving them two walks so there was one less thing for us to worry about as we got settled back in. We were all very sad to see them leave (the dogs especially!) and very much hope we can get calendars to work again in the future and that Sean and Katharine would consider coming back to us.

Airbnb Cottage

We also have a small self-catering holiday cottage attached to our house — Sean and Katharine looked after this for us too — all guests commented on the great hosts and how well the cottage had been presented on arrival. Sean and Katharine looked after our two dogs for three weeks as we couldn't be happier with the experience. They were great at communicating before the visit, setting up a Skype call to answer all of our questions and concerns, arrived exactly when they said and kept us updated throughout the three weeks. We came back to a beautifully clean home and very happy and content dogs. We couldn't have been more delighted with the excellent care they took of our dogs as they made sure that they were not only cared for (following the feeding and exercise instructions we left) but were also loved. Sean and Katharine arrived a few days before we departed and instantly we felt confident and happy we had chosen the right people to look after our home and animals. Maya the Yellow Labrador

Sean and Katharine looked after our French farmhouse, gîtes complex and dog for two months. They were easy to contact, communicated with us readily and were particularly kind to our elderly Labrador, Maya.
