We offer bespoke house and pet sitting services that fit your needs. Our fees are based on the specifics of each sit and take into account a variety of factors. We send our quote after a video call, which we schedule once we’ve received your Housesit Enquiry Form.
We’re always careful and considerate of the homes we look after, aware that we’re living in another person’s space. We keep your house clean and organised throughout our stay, and make sure everything is well prepared for your return home.
We look after your furry and feathered friends as if they are truly our own. We give them an abundance of love, feed and exercise them, groom them, and give medication if required.
We send you updates as often or as little as you like — just let us know what you prefer. Our photo updates are great way for you to feel connected to your pets even when you’re away from home.
We take dogs for good walks and give them plenty of exercise, including, and depending on the dog, chasing sticks and balls, catching frisbees, and swimming if there’s a pond, river or sea within walking distance.
We always take our cue from cats, snuggling them on our laps or giving them the space they need if they’re more independent. And, if they have toys they like to play with, we play pussycat games with them.
We make sure your chooks have food and fresh water every day, including giving them scraps when we have something we know they like. We collect any eggs and clean out the henhouse regularly.
We follow your instructions for watering your indoor plants. In summer, we can water flower pots and beds. Depending on the size of the lawn, we can also mow your lawn if you’re away for an extended time.
When unexpected things happen, such as boilers failing, water leaks, electrical faults, wind damage, and so on, we immediately document what’s happened, report the issue and liaise with your preferred service providers.
Empty homes are vulnerable. Our living in your home provides an important security presence, deterring potential burglars from opportunistic break-ins, etc.
Sean and Katharine were perfect for looking after our cat Mia, and a quite extensive garden. On our return the house was spotless and the garden well cared for. Most importantly, Mia clearly adored Sean and Katharine. We highly recommend these caring and totally seasoned house and pet sitters who will look after your home and pets beautifully.
It was wonderful to meet Sean and Katharine. I knew as soon as I met them the dogs would be well looked after. A calm and caring duo, extremely thoughtful, they took amazing care of our house, cleared up the garden after a storm. Once again we were delighted to have Sean and Katharine looking after our dog Bertie. They are wonderful dog and house sitters — very loving towards Bertie and Bertie quite clearly adores them. They are also extremely responsible house sitters and the house was immaculate when we returned.
We were very happy to have Sean and Katharine house sit for us while we were away for 10 days. They looked after Oska our Russian Blue cat, who obviously became fond of them — we were even sent photos of him at frequent intervals and appreciated their updates. What fabulous sitters! Sean and Katharine are absolutely brilliant and genuinely lovely people, which is clear from their many glowing reviews. Chester took to them straight away and was thoroughly spoiled with lots of attention, long beach walks and plenty of tug-of-war (his favourite!). They kept us updated via WhatsApp throughout our short break, which was really reassuring, and we came home to an immaculate house.

Some things you might find helpful to know.
The short answer is that we don’t, but we ensure everything is covered in online communications — video call, email, messaging, and the House & Pet Handbook that you prepare for us.
We do, however, suggest a crossover before you leave. This gives us time for a handover, as well as time for the pets to get to know us.
If you’re leaving home in the morning, we suggest arriving the evening before. This allows for an evening handover and frees you up on the morning of departure to focus on being ready to leave in a relaxed manner.
As our clients have already taken time to write a review, we’re sensitive to asking folk, repeatedly, to take yet more time to speak with prospective clients, especially as the website contains a wealth of information, from the services we offer and the specifics of our experience on the Home page to an extensive Reviews page, as well as an extensive Pet Galleries page.

House and pet sitters focus is exclusively on taking excellent care of both your home and pets. Dog sitters are often primarily dog walkers and so need to take significant time out of their day for their regular dog-walking clients.
House and pet sitters give each sit their undivided attention and, therefore, charge accordingly. Dog sitters continue to serve dog-walking clients, which is often their main source of income.
